Will I have to change my SIM?
You can continue to enjoy your existing SIM and number that you are using. In fact, with the same SIM, you will now be able to access the power and speed of the Airtel network.
Will my number stop working? Will my call rates/plan change?
Your existing SIM and number will continue to work as it did before.
For prepaid users, post expiry of your existing recharge, you can opt for best offers with Airtel.
For postpaid users, your existing plan will continue with Airtel.
Do I need to port in my number to Airtel?
Since Tata Docomo has merged with Airtel, you need not port your existing number and it would automatically be migrated to Airtel network shortly.
Post this merger do I need to change anything to start using Airtel services?
You do not need to do anything and you will enjoy Airtel services on your existing SIM and number once the migration of your number is complete. We will inform you regarding the same once your migration is complete.
When do I get to know my number has been migrated to Airtel?
The migration process for Tata Docomo customers to Airtel has currently started. We will inform you regarding the same once your migration is complete
Can I switch my Tata Docomo number to Airtel prepaid / Postpaid?
Your existing Tata Docomo number will be automatically migrated to Airtel.
Will I be able to use my Tata to Tata minutes / unlimited plan for calling Airtel Numbers anywhere in India?
After your number has been migrated to Airtel, you will be able to make calls on Airtel and Tata Docomo numbers with your Tata to Tata minutes or unlimited plans.
Will I be able to use my Airtel to Airtel minutes/ unlimited plans for calling Tata Docomo numbers?
Yes, you will now be able to use your Airtel to Airtel minutes/existing pack for calling on Tata Docomo numbers as well.
After my number has been migrated to Airtel, will I be able to still make payment, change bill plan, recharge etc. from Tata Docomo website/app now?
No, you will no longer to make payment or use other self-care services through Tata Docomo website and app, after your number has been migrated. You may download the My Airtel App and enjoy best offers and a host of services including bill payment, tracking of data usage etc.
Will the SIM menu of my existing SIM change or will it be the same as before?
There will not be any changes in your existing SIM Menu and Services.
Should I change network in my handset to 4G after my number has been migrated?
If you are using a 4G Data SIM, you have to select 4G in your handset data settings to access Airtel 4G. If you are on a 3G/2G SIM, please visit the nearest Airtel store to upgrade to an Airtel 4G SIM.
Will I get Airtel 4G services & Speeds on my existing Tata Docomo SIM after migration?
If you are using a 4G Data SIM, you will be able to use Airtel 4G services on your SIM. Alternatively, please visit the nearest Airtel store to get a new 4G Data SIM.
Do I need to change settings in my handset to get Airtel data speeds after migration?
To experience Airtel’s 4G data speeds, please select 4G option in “Settings”.
Will I get free roaming incoming & outgoing in Airtel network?
You can now enjoy free roaming incoming anywhere in India on the Airtel network. With our unlimited plans, you can also get free outgoing roaming anywhere in India.
Will I get international roaming on my current Tata Docomo SIM after migration?
International roaming service is not available on your existing SIM. In case you wish to avail Airtel’s International Roaming service, you will have to do a SIM Swap and get a new SIM. Please visit the nearest Airtel store.
Will the customer care numbers still exist after migration to Airtel?
You can continue to reach out to Airtel customer care. Visit the “Contact us” section on the Airtel Website
Will there be any change in your appellate authority number?
Yes, there will be a change in appellate authority numbers, the same has been published on the Airtel website for your reference.
What will happen to my complaint which I have registered with Tata Docomo as it is still not resolved?
You can reach out to us at 198 and we will try to resolve your complaint at the earliest.
Will I be able to manage my account with Tata Docomo App now or I should install Airtel app?
After your number has been successfully migrated, you will need to download the My Airtel App and register to manage your account and enjoy a host of benefits.
I have opted for DND service with Tata Docomo. Will it continue to work now?
Yes, your DND preferences are still in place and will continue on your number.
Will my USSD short codes continue working like before after my number has been migrated to Airtel network?
Most of the USSD services would continue working as earlier. You may dial *121# to know the complete list of USSD services.
How can I check my outstanding amount after migration to Airtel?
You may dial *121*51# to know your outstanding amount and other self-care options.
My Value-added service is not working. How do I activate it again?
Value added services have been deactivated on your mobile. To reactivate the service, please dial 56789 post your number migration to Airtel.
Can I continue issuing cheque in favor of TataTele Services?
You can continue to issue cheque in favor of TTSL account no xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx till your number has been migrated to Airtel. Post that, you are requested to issue the cheque in favour of Airtel account No. xxxxxxxxxxxx and drop in Airtel drop box
Will I get Tata Docomo plans on Airtel website/My Airtel App after migration to Airtel network?
You will be able to recharge with Airtel plans only that are available on Airtel Website/My Airtel App.
Are there any plans to discontinue any Tata Docomo Postpaid Plan in near future?
As of now, there is no plan to discontinue your existing Postpaid Plan and you can continue enjoying your existing plan benefits with your existing SIM.
