Q. I have heard about a new Handset Bundling offer being launched from Tata DoCoMo for CDMA customers?
A. Yes we have launched a very exciting offer for new customers (acquired after 1th Mar ‘12) who buy a new Handset from a select range of Micromax and Samsung Handset. List is given below.
On buying this new handset, customer will get double talktime plan for 1 year). If it’s a data handset, you will get double talktime plan for 1 year and 2 GB data/month for 3 months

Q. What are the criteria for availing the offer?
A.
- You need to buy a New OMH handset (from the given range) & a New SIM. After buying the handset please insert the new SIM and make or receive a call.
- You also need to send an SMS "Offer <space> MEID number" to 52111 from your new SIM.
- Power ON, making /receiving a call will automatically enable ESN getting tracked in the system and provisioning the offer.
- Certain handset models take time to latch on to the ESN tracker. SMS received will be used to proactively PING the handset and retrieve the ESN.
- Offer will not be provisioned in case the handset does not latch on to tracker and no SMS is received.
- MEID is the number printed on your handset box.
- You can also find the MEID number mentioned on the phone body. Usually in the battery slot.
Q. Post purchase of handset when will I get the Benefits?
A.
- You will get the benefits within 48 hrs (working hrs) on sending the SMS to 52111.
- However it is necessary that you have inserted the SIM into the new handset and have made/received a call. And SEND SMS
Q. Is there some specific First recharge/recharge I need to do to get the offer?
A.
- No, there is no compulsion of any First recharge/recharge to avail this offer.
- Offer will be automatically attached once you start using the phone.
- If customer does not want to continue in the offer, he can exit by recharging with Rs 3 EVD recharge which will move him to base profile.
- However this offer will not be applicable if you have taken certain FRCs that give discounted tariffs and/or free minutes. Refer to the mail communication sent on 9th Mar ’12.
Q. In case I have not got the benefits within 48 hrs?
A.
- Check if the handset model is eligible
- Check if it is not a pre used Handset (should be a new Handset ESN in Tata network)
- Have you sent the SMS "Offer <14 digit MEID no" is sent to 52111
- MDN activated after 1st Mar ‘12
- If all the above are true and u have not got the offer …pls call our call centre
Q. Are there any other conditions to the offer?
A.
- Yes you will need to continue using the new SIM on the same handset to keep getting benefits of the plan for the offer period. In case the SIM and Handset gets de-paired the offer will be removed in the subsequent month
Q. How long is this offer valid?
A.
- Offer valid till stocks last or till Apr ‘30th 2012, whichever is earlier
- Offer will go live from 12th Mar ’12 – i.e., for successfully tracked ESNs
Q. I got a new SIM on 10th Mar’12 and bought the new handset on 20th Mar ’2012 - Will I get the offer?
A.
Yes you can avail the offer.
Q. I am an existing Tata DOCOMO CDMA customer, can I avail the offer?
No, you are not eligible for same (first call date has to be after 1/3/2012). But we will shortly come with some exciting offers for you
Q. Where will these handsets be available?
A.
The Handsets are available in all Tata DOCOMO Stores /franchisees and leading mobile outlets.

Q. What are the benefits I get in Double Talktime Plan?
A. You will get Double Talktime on all convenient and popular denominations of Rs 10/20/25/50/100/110/150/200 every time you recharge with any of these denominations for a period of 1 year (90 days for JK and NESA). This is available both on Paper and EVD recharges
Q. What is double talktime?
A.The double talktime is calculated as MRP less of Govt Service tax X 2. So for example if a customer recharges with Rs 10- he will get Rs 9 (MRP less Serv Tax of 10.3%) X 2 = Rs 18 as talktime. Table as follows:

Q. For how long will I keep getting double talktime on select topups?
A. The customer will get double TT on all defined MRPs for 365 days from the date of Double talktime plan attachment(90 days for JK/NESA)
Q. Can I recharge with the Double talktime recharges multiple times?
A. Yes during the offer period you can recharge with the select denominations any number of times.
Q. Will the extra talktime get credited in Core Account or dedicated balance?
A. The entire talktime will get credited in your core balance.
Q. If I have done this recharge and move to Double Talk time offer, can I take STVs that give me discounted tariff?
A. You’ve been offered Double Talktime in Core, which actually halves your tariff and makes it economical, so we’ve not allowed any STVs
Q. Can I take minutes packs/SMS pack during the offer period on Double TT Plan?
A. Yes, minutes packs and SMS pack are allowed. For e.g. if there is a recharge of Rs 15 which gives 30 local minutes you can avail that. Similarly if there is a Rs 29 pack which give 300 SMS you can avail that. However you are not allowed to take any STV –for e.g. recharge with Rs 24 and get all local calls @ 30p.
Q. My SMS rates on this tariff are very high. How can I reduce these?
A. Since you are enjoying the Double Talktime offer, during this period you cannot take any STV to reduce the SMS rates. However you can take packs which give SMS credits.
Q. I have got the DTT offer which I got as part of Handset offer. However I am not happy with the tariff and want to migrate to some other plan. What do I do?
A.
- Sir, you can do a recharge of Rs 3 to exit out of DTT plan. However post this you will lose all the benefits of Double TT.
- On exit, you will move to base tariff, where you are allowed to use any STVs/plan of your choice.
