Q. What is this DOCOMICS?
A. DOCOMICS is a mobile book service, offering you world famous Japanese Manga and Marvel comics.
Q. How do I get the comics?
A. Browse through the list of available comic titles on the site. Each title is divided into various chapters. Purchase the chapters of your choice.
Q. How do I read the comics?
A. To read the comics you need to download the “Viewer Application” (free of cost) from the site. After downloading the Viewer, close the web browser and launch the Viewer application. Clicking on the Bookshelf icon from the Viewer’s top menu, you will find titles that you've already purchased followed by a list of all available titles. You can also purchase chapters from the viewer application.
A. The chapters are moderately priced from Rs.15 onwards. No data charges are levied while in home network.
Q. What if I face a problem downloading the application?
A. In case of any problem pleases contact customer care on 121 from your Tata DOCOMO mobile.
Q. If the Download is failed, then what I need to do?
A. You will get a page mentioning that your download is failed with one download link. Just click on the link again and your download will start.
Q. Where will the application get saved in my handset?
A. To check the downloaded applications go to the mobile menu list and find the “application” or “installation” option. Inside these options you can find for the DOCOMICS
A. Please follow the following steps:
1) Click DOCOMICS, you will have three options
- Bookshelf - This will take you to the list of the Title along with a tick (√) mark next to the Title you have purchased
- Bookmark - This link will take you to the last read page of the comic
- Bookstore - This link will direct to the DOCOMICS portal site where you can browse the titles
2) Choose any option of your choice.
Q. Where do is see the Comic titles purchased?
A. Click on Bookshelf - This will show you the list of Titles along with a tick (√) mark next to the Title you have already purchased
Q. Can I purchase the comics from the application itself?
A. Yes you can purchase the comic form the application itself. On selecting any one Title and the chapter from the BOOKSHELF click on the “Purchase” option and then click “yes”.
Q. Once purchased till how long can I read the chapters?
A. Once purchased, the validity term of the purchase is 90 days for Marvel Comics, or one year for other comics. You can read the same chapter again and again within the term without re-purchasing.
Q. Can the comic be used on other handsets too?
A. No the comics cannot be used by other handsets.
Q. What if the comic does not download?
A. Please try again to download the comic.
Q. If I changed my SIM card, can I continue to use the application?
A. No. We are managing subscribers based on your mobile numbers.
Q. If I changed my handset, can I continue to use the application?
A. Yes. You can download the application and move the comic data to your new handset. Then you can see comic again.
Q. Can I copy the application to my friend?
A. Thanks for your recommendation to your friend but you can't copy or move the application. Please tell him to download from WAP site.
Q. Why I cannot copy my application for my friend?
A. We have law-abiding spirit and digital contents should be protected. So we are using DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology.
