Q. Why can’t I make any outgoing calls/ receive calls?
A. Make sure you have dialed a valid number and press the key
For international calls, check the country and area codes
Make sure your mobile phone is connected to Tata DOCOMO network
Check your account balance and validity
Check if you have activated call barring (call register->call setting->call barring). Call barring allows user to block incoming/outgoing calls.
Check whether you have activated flight mode? In ‘Flight mode’ , the phone is offline and is not connected to Tata DOCOMO network.
Q. My mobile phone is not getting charged properly. Why?
A. Make sure that your battery is not completely discharged; the battery charge indicator can take several minutes and may be accompanied by a quiet whistling sound
Make sure charging is carried out under normal conditions
Make sure your battery is inserted. It must be inserted before plugging in the charger
Make sure you are using an Alcatel battery and charger that are given in the sales package
When abroad, check if the electrical power is compatible
Q. The sound quality of the calls is not optimal.
A. You can adjust the volume during a call by means of the optical finger navigation key
Check the radio reception icon level
Q. I have already entered 3 incorrect PIN codes and the phone is locked.
A. Contact Tata DOCOMO to obtain the PUK code (Personal Unblocking Key).
Q. I am unable to connect my telephone to my computer.
A. You need to download and install Alcatel’s PC suite first. Please find the link in the Software downloads link.
Use “Install the connection” and perform the installation
Check that your computer meets the requirements for Alcatel’s PC Suite installation
Q. I am unable to download new files on my phone.
A. Check for free space and delete some files if required
Select the Micro SD Card to store the files you download
Q. The phone can’t be detected by others via Bluetooth.
A. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on and your mobile phone is set as visible to other users
Click on Bluetooth in the Main Menu, select Settings, click on Visibility and select Visible to All.
Q. My mobile phone doesn’t power on.
A. Make sure your battery is not completely used up or damaged.
Remove your battery, remove your SIM card then power it on again.
Hold down # and power on key at same time to reset the handset to factory settings*.
*All user data on the phone: contacts, photos, messages and files, downloaded applications like Java games will be lost permanently.
Q. How to turn the volume on or off when playing multimedia?
A. You cannot turn the volume off when you are playing audio. Volume can only be set to the lowest level by using optical trackpad.
When playing videos, you can turn the volume off by scrolling down on the trackpad.
Q. How can I make my phone battery last longer?
A. Make sure you have charged the phone battery completely.
After a partial charge, the battery level indicator may not be exact. Wait for at least 20 minutes after removing the charger to obtain an exact indication
Set backlight behavior by going to Settings -> Display -> Backlight
Set RSS reader Auto Update interval to as long as possible.
Exit Java background-running applications if they are not being used for a long time.
Deactivate Bluetooth when not in use.

Q. How can I use Yahoo! Services on Alcatel One Touch Net?
A. Your Alcatel One Touch Net comes with one touch access to many Yahoo! Services.
To be able to use these services, you need to login with your Yahoo! user id and password.
You can either login when the phone is powered on or you can go to Y! Services Settings in Main Menu to login later.
Q. Why can’t I sign-on to Yahoo?
A. Make sure your mobile phone is connected to Tata DOCOMO network
Check your account balance & validity
Make sure the APN is TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET. Note: WAP APN will not work.
Make sure time and time zone settings are correct. You can update the settings by clicking on Clock icon in the main menu
Q. Yahoo! account registration stops and doesn’t complete.
A. Please make sure that you are using Tata DOCOMO SIM card. If you do not use Tata DOCOMO SIM card, the registration would stop at 90% and the wizard will show an error.
Yahoo! Services - Yahoo! Mail, Messenger, Social Pulse, News, Synchronization of Address Book and Calendar - that are integrated on Alcatel One Touch Net can be used only with Tata Docomo service.
If user name and password are wrong, you will be returned to registration wizard to reenter the credentials
If time and zone settings are incorrect, the wizard would prompt you to update the time settings. You can update the settings by clicking on Clock icon in the main menu
Q. How do I use Yahoo! Search?
A. Click on the Yahoo! Search on the home screen
When used for the first time, you need to accept terms of service and select India as country
Highlight search from the IDLE screen and
- Type to get text search. Suggested words will come up or press enter after you type.
- Hold the Green CALL button to do voice search. HOLD, SPEAK, and release button to search.
Q. Why am I not getting any updates on Social pulse?
A. You need to register your Social Networking Sites accounts on Social Pulse to be able to get updates.
To register any of your social networking accounts, launch Social Pulse on the browser of your phone, login, select and add your accounts.
Once your accounts (like Facebook, Twitter) are added, you will get updates in the Social Pulse widget on the Home Screen
Please note, login to Yahoo! portal on the browser is required for Social Pulse updates.
You can go to RSS Reader in the Main Menu, select Social Pulse and select update from options to manually pull updates from your social networking accounts.
Q. How do I synchronize my Yahoo! Address Book and Calendar?
A. Synchronization of Contacts and Calendar occurs each time data is updated, added or deleted in Calendar or Contacts.
Make changes to Contacts and Calendar and exit the application and it will sync automatically to the server.
You can also manually start sync by selecting SYNC NOW from the Synchronization application in Main Menu
If changes are done to the Yahoo! portal for Contacts and Calendar, it will start a remote sync to the phone.
Q. How do I upload a picture to Flickr?
A. From the camera application, take a picture, and a FLICKR icon will show up.
Select Flickr Icon to upload
For first time users of Flickr, authorization is required hence browser will be launched.
Login and authorize Flickr upload. Picture will be uploaded in the background.
Upload pictures can also be done from File manager, but by choosing options, and upload to Flickr.
A detailed log of what has been uploaded can be viewed from choosing Y! Services settings in Main Menu, and Flickr Upload Log.
Q. How do I add and remove Java games and applications?
A. You cannot remove the Java games and applications that come pre-burnt on your mobile phone, you can download Java games and apps from internet to add to your phone and remove them as you desire.
